Unions reiterate their rejection of the strike bill

Trade unions have reiterated their categorical rejection of the current version of the strike law, renewing demands for the withdrawal of the text presented by the government at the end of the last legislative year, the daily “Bayane Al Yaoum” reported on Monday.
A few weeks before the political and social entry, the government intends to soften the positions of the unions in order to continue the examination of the law on strikes with a view to approval during the next autumn session.
These union demands took place during a meeting held last Thursday at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), devoted to the examination of draft organic law No. 97.15 defining the conditions and modalities for exercising the right to strike.
According to the newspaper’s sources, this meeting was scheduled as a prelude to the debate on the bill in order to bring together the visions of the government and the unions before the political return.
