The worker explained during the meeting attended by the Secretary General of Labor, the Head of the Directorate of Internal Affairs, the Regional Director of Planning in Settat, the men of authority and the agents of the men of authority, that “The Ministry of the Interior is directly involved organizationally with the High Commission for Planning in this large national workshop with all its institutions and executives Gentlemen, men of authority and agents of men of authority, in order to support all the stages relating to it.” to the organization of the census, in particular the practical and executive aspect of its launch, from September 1, 2024 to September 30.
Abou Zaid also stressed the central role of men of authority and their assistants in accompanying researchers and observers in the field, first in the familiarization phase in the field on August 30 and 31, 2024, especially in the rural world, then helping them by communicating with families and providing them with the necessary data in this regard. He called on all local authorities, executives of the Ministry of Interior, the Regional Directorate of Statistics and the agents of the authority to mobilize and mobilize globally so that the census work in the field is crowned with success.
The meeting included a presentation on the arrangements and preparations underway, as well as an assessment of the needs necessary at the level of the Settat region to complete this census, by the Regional Director of Planning, in which he addressed fundamental topics, namely “the definition and objectives of the General Population and Housing Census 2024, as well as the legal framework of the census. Updates and themes of the 2024 census, and results of the cartographic work of the region. And making arrangements for the census. And the role of local government officials.
Regarding the census device in the province of Settat, human capacities were followed, which is reflected in the presence of 18 group supervisors, 41 observers responsible for training, 205 observers, 661 researchers, 720 authority assistants and 154 drivers. Financial capacities were evident in the provision of 154 cars, 885 electronic plates, 41 training rooms, 6 storage halls and 8 accommodation places.
