Cement sales grow at record pace, exceeding 8.5%

Cement sales in Morocco have increased in recent months due to strong real estate activity and the policy of large construction projects adopted by our country, which is driving demand for cement to a record level.

Cement sales performance showed an increase of 8.5% during this month, after recording a rise of 6.6% a month earlier, and a decline of 10.7% in February 2023.

This growth mainly benefited from the good dynamics of sales of ready-mixed concrete (+18.3%), infrastructure (+61%), distribution (+1.3%) and precast concrete (+ 5.8%)100, as in the new mortar category, listed from January 2024, which contributed to a 7% increase in total cement sales at the end of February 2024.
