According to statistics provided by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the school dropout rate has seen a significant drop from 5 to 4.4%.
Also, the school dropout rate recorded a significant decrease during the 2023-2024 school year, going from 5 to 4.4% compared to the previous year, which represented a decrease of approximately 40,206 cases, as announced by Minister Chakib Benmoussa.
It is noted that the most common age for dropping out of school remains 16 years, which shows that the majority of students who dropped out of school were enrolled at the qualifying secondary level and once again reflects the major challenges facing the education system at the secondary and qualifying secondary level.
