A number of professionals and butchers expect the price of red meat to continue to rise to exceed 150 dirhams in the coming weeks, especially that of lamb and goat, attributing this situation to the lack of supply after Eid al-Adha and the halt in the processing process. importing sheep from foreign countries.

Professionals are demanding that the ministry intervene to find consensual solutions that guarantee the interests of sellers and customers without harming any party, noting that a number of social media activists have already launched a boycott campaign called “Let Them Cook” in response to the high pressure on meat prices.
