Romain Saiss in a new team

Moroccan international Romain Saiss is reportedly set to join Qatari club Al-Shamal during the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to local sources in Qatar, the captain of the Moroccan national team is about to officially join the Al-Shamal club, participating in the Arid Stars League.

The same sources added that Saiss was also on the verge of joining Al-Shabab permanently, but the management of the Saudi club gave up on this move, for reasons related to the financial value of the agreement.

Saiss (34) spent the last football season on loan from Al-Sadd of Qatar to Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia, highlighting that the Moroccan defender is linked to the Qatari champions with a contract that extends until June 30.
