Regragui: “I was the one who chose Tariq Sektiwi as the coach of the Olympic team.”

National voter Walid Al-Ragraki said that he was the one who chose Tariq Al-Saktiwi as the new coach of the Olympic team after the departure of Issam Al-Sharai.

Regragui explained at the press conference he held to announce the composition of the national team: “I am the one who chose Tariq Sektioui as the new coach of the Olympic team, and I thank Fawzi Lakjaa for the trust he placed in me for this.”

He continued: “Since we returned from the World Cup, I was appointed supervisor of the under-23 team, and we managed to win the Africa Cup of Nations, which was held in Morocco, and after that, we got the Olympic bronze.”

He added: “I was present at the matches with Issam Al-Sharai in the Africa Cup during the Under-23s, but at that time I did not talk about it, and I do not know why all this discussion took place after my participation in the Paris Olympics.

He continued: “We all worked to achieve an Olympic medal, and all the capabilities of the first team were made available to the Olympic team, and today our common goal is the 2025 Africa Cup in Morocco.”
