Yesterday, Friday, off the coast of Dakhla, the Royal Navy coastguard intercepted a boat carrying 168 would-be illegal immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa, including six women and eight minors.
A statement from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces stated that the rescued candidates, who were planning to go to the Canary Islands, were transported safe and sound to the port of Dakhla and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie in order to carry out the administrative procedures in progress, after receiving first aid.
