The Directorate of Medicines and Pharmacy (DMP) at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection launched, from August 29, the second round of the series of meetings with representatives of the pharmaceutical sector.
In a press release made public on Friday, the ministry indicated that it had received the new office of the Pharmaceutical Companies in Morocco (LEMM) as part of this round, noting that this meeting is part of the continuation of the participatory policy undertaken by the DMP with the various representatives of the pharmaceutical sector in Morocco, on the instructions of the Minister of Health and Social Protection.
According to the statement, the meeting focused in particular on ways of cooperation between the two parties to ensure pharmaceutical security, which represents a fundamental basis for the success of the Grand Royal Project of generalized medical coverage.
Emphasis was also placed on the importance of encouraging research and development in the pharmaceutical field in order to develop innovative drugs that contribute to strengthening the hospital arsenal of the national health system, it was noted.
Both parties agreed that the establishment of the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products constitutes a significant step towards strengthening good governance in the pharmaceutical and health products sector.
