The Marrakech Security Prefecture continues, for the seventh consecutive day, to publish the action plan it launched last weekend, aimed at combating various offenses that undermine the feeling of security on public roads, and prohibiting shows and dangerous driving, as well as traffic violations that threaten the safety of road users and the safety of citizens, men and women.

During the night of August 30-31, the various regions affiliated to the Marrakech Security Province were able to arrest 433 people in flagrante delicto or wanted in various criminal cases, including crimes against public morality, including 114 people who were subject to search warrants at the national level.

In a related context, road safety measures aimed at prohibiting dangerous and reckless driving resulted in the seizure and deposit of 51 vehicles in the municipal pound, because their drivers threatened the safety of road users through their reckless and dangerous driving.

As part of constant road safety, various traffic police units were able to arrest 792 traffic violations, including 398 violations related to driving motorcycles without wearing a helmet, in addition to placing 175 motorcycles or tricycles in the municipal pound because their drivers violated the traffic law and endangered the safety of people.

The various security regions of the Marrakech Security Province participate in these integrated security operations, reinforced by the judicial police teams, the police services, the urban authority and the traffic police, in addition to various intervention teams and regular groups.

It is worth noting that the first six days of these security operations were marked by the arrest of 1,217 people involved in anti-crime cases, in addition to the deposit of 224 vehicles in the municipal pound due to the involvement of their owners in reckless acts and dangerous driving that threaten the safety and security of road users.
