“Left Federalism” asked Baraka about the repeated water cuts in many regions of Morocco

Fatima Al-Tamani, parliamentary representative of the Democratic Left Federation, questioned the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, on the frequent water cuts experienced in many regions of Morocco.
Al-Tamani gave the example of the province of Settat, whose residents are suffering from deteriorating conditions at all levels, including frequent water cuts, change in color and taste, panic and doubt among citizens, both men and women, about the quality and suitability of drinking water and the degree of compliance with the standards in force.
She indicated in her parliamentary question that a notable lack of communication had been noted by the “Independent Agency for Water and Electricity Distribution of Chaouia” and all the institutions involved concerned with finding solutions to the problems raised, in order to meet the expectations of citizens, men and women, who demand urgent intervention to remedy this situation.
Al-Tamani asked Minister Baraka what measures should be taken to deal with this situation? In addition to identifying the real causes of this abnormal situation, conducting tests to measure the quality of the water and its suitability for consumption, and making the results of the tests public to avoid possible health damage resulting from the use and consumption of this water.
