On Friday, Royal Navy Coast Guards intercepted a pirogue off the coast of Dakhla with 168 sub-Saharan Africans on board, candidates for irregular migration, including 6 women and 8 minors.
The rescued people who were planning to reach the Canary Islands were brought back safe and sound to the Port of Dakhla and then entrusted to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures, after having received the necessary care, indicates a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
