Dar Al-Kabdani.. An exchange of accusations between the members of the group and the president on the “ambulance” services
Heba Press
In light of the conflicting positions regarding ambulance services in the Dar al-Kabdani community, Hiba Press has issued two statements presenting two different narratives on the same issue, which requires clarifying the facts before the local public opinion.
In this regard, some members of the Dar al-Kabdani community council issued a statement of condemnation expressing their dissatisfaction with the “repeated negligence” of the community leader in providing ambulance services, especially in emergency cases.
The statement refers to the death of a child on the 26th of this month, who was denied access to an ambulance to transport her to hospital and then to transport her body.
Council members accused the group’s leader of converting one of the ambulances into an administrative police vehicle without consulting the council and without a legal basis, demanding that it be returned to its original function and that a vehicle be provided to transport the dead to the community residents.
They also called for an urgent and thorough investigation into the fate of the four ambulances that the community donated to the group, saying they were ready to cooperate with any party to guarantee the right of citizens to benefit from ambulance services.
For his part, the head of the Dar Al-Kabdani group issued a statement to clarify his position on these accusations. At the beginning of his statement, he offered his condolences to the family of the deceased, denouncing the behavior of some members of the council, which he described as trying to “repair their reputation” by exploiting the tragedy of the child’s death.
The President explained that as soon as he learned about the incident, he took the initiative to question the Vice President, who is in charge of monitoring ambulance services, who assured him that he had not received any request to transport a patient to the hospital. He also indicated that the ambulance driver received a call to transport the body from the city of Barkan, but he explained that the law only allows the transport of the dead in accordance with specific legal procedures.
The President considered that the statement of condemnation was full of errors and aimed at achieving undeclared objectives, stressing that the ambulance is available to serve the population at any time, in accordance with the approved controls. He also expressed his readiness to cooperate with partners to develop the group, stressing that it is the judiciary that will determine the truth in this dispute.
In the context of opinion and other opinions, and between the accusations made by the members of the Council and the response of the leader of the group, public opinion is still waiting for the truth to be revealed. Contradictory narratives impose on everyone the responsibility to verify the accuracy of the information provided. In light of these tensions, there remains an urgent need for an independent and comprehensive investigation to guarantee the right of citizens to obtain appropriate health services and to accurately determine responsibilities.
