Chakib Benmoussa inquires in Taroudant about the progress of the reconstruction program

The Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, was informed, on Tuesday in Taroudant, of the progress of the reconstruction and rehabilitation program of schools impacted by the Al Haouz earthquake.
During this visit, which is part of monitoring efforts to improve educational provision and ensure the continuity of public education service, Mr. Benmoussa visited the “Idaoukmad” high school, the “Ait Mealla” school group, the “Talgjount” high school, and the “Talgjount” community school.
The minister also inquired about the project to rehabilitate damaged schools which are being completed by Compagnie Générale Immobilière, in addition to the classes built by Groupe OCP in several schools in the province.
The efforts made by the supervisory ministry to improve the conditions for welcoming students in the areas affected by the earthquake have enabled the qualitative reduction of temporary school tents, as well as the completion of the rehabilitation of several schools in the provinces of Al Haouz, Chichaoua and Taroudant, which will make it possible to welcome more than 19,000 apprentices in 169 establishments during this 2024/2025 school year.
