Benmoussa goes to Al Haouz to follow the rehabilitation program of schools damaged by the earthquake

As part of monitoring the progress of the national program for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of schools affected by the earthquake of September 8, the Minister of National Education, Primary Education and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, accompanied, yesterday Wednesday, September 4, by the governor of the province of Al Haouz, Rachid Benchikhi, in the presence of the president of the regional council and parliamentarians of the region, in addition to security and foreign interests. With a visit to the community of Asni, during which the reconstruction workshops of the “Asni School Group” and the construction of the boarding school “Preparatory High School of the High Atlas” and the “Asni Rehabilitation High School” were reviewed. Boarding school workshops were also followed. At each of these stations, the construction projects of each workshop were examined separately and the progress of the work was examined.
The positive efforts made, diligently followed up by the district officer, resulted in the distribution of temporary school tents in Al Haouz province. This will enable students to be received in good conditions when the school year starts.
The visit also focused on the Green Massira Primary School in the “Tahanaout” community, which represents a distinguished model of a qualified institution within the framework of the aforementioned national program, and the launch of school admission was also supervised. In addition, a visit was made to the Shamsi Orphan Care Center in the Amizmiz community, which accommodates orphans from the earthquake and also offers them the opportunity to study at the primary level. This is an opportunity to closely examine the working and study conditions, as these two institutions provide all the appropriate educational, social and psychological conditions.
The Minister also explained that there are no more study tents in Al Haouz province, which would allow learners in the affected areas to study in their classrooms in appropriate conditions. For his part, the Governor of Al Haouz province stressed that the regional authorities are continuing their efforts, in effective coordination with all stakeholders, to bring to fruition initiatives aimed at improving school conditions and ensuring their sustainability for the benefit of students in the earthquake-affected areas, in execution of royal instructions.
