Reconstruction and rehabilitation of 42 health centers in earthquake-affected areas

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection said today, Friday, that it has rehabilitated and restored 42 health centers in the areas affected by the earthquake that shook the Al Haouz region on September 8, 2023. The National Agency for Public Equipment is committed to rebuilding them, within the framework of the High Royal Directives and national efforts to deal with its devastating effects.
The ministry explained in a statement that these efforts included the reconstruction of 27 health centers in the Marrakech-Safi region distributed between the regions of Chichaoua, Marrakech and Al Haouz, stressing that at the level of the Chichaoua region, several health centers have been rehabilitated, including the second-class rural health centers (Asif El Mal), (Lalla Aziza), (Tamlilit), the first-class rural health center Sidi Ghanem and the rural dispensary (Sidi Mohamed Dalil).
The same source adds that in the Chichaoua region, the rural dispensary of Al-Muaysara, the first-class rural health center of Houkat, the first-class rural health center of Ould Bor, the village dispensary of Lakhnik, the rural dispensary of Moulay Ibrahim Al-Rouha, the rural dispensary of Mazara and the health center have been rehabilitated. The first-class rural dispensary of Sidi Bouzid, the second-class rural health center of Temezkadiouine, the rural dispensary of Zaouia Nahliyah, the first-class rural dispensary. the Zaouia Belmukaddam health center, the rural dispensary of Tazidra, the rural dispensary of Jurf and the village dispensary of Lhassila.
At the level of the Marrakech region, the report adds, the health centers of the affected urban neighborhoods have been rehabilitated to ensure the restoration of basic health services to the inhabitants of the region, such as the first-class urban health center in the Hassani neighborhood, the first-class urban health center in Azouziyah has been rebuilt.
The report goes on to say that efforts in Al Haouz province included the rehabilitation of rural health centers in isolated mountainous areas, such as the second-class rural health center Asni, the first-class rural health center Amkdal, the first-class rural health center Ouled Yahia, and the first-class rural health center. The second is Tzarat, the first-class rural health center in Amlil, and the rural clinic in Ben Kabour.
In the Souss-Massa region, the communication indicates that 14 health centers have been reestablished in the province of Taroudant, including the first-level rural health centers (Assad), (Ounain), (Tikouka) and (Sidi Ouziz), and the second-level urban health center Oluz, and the second-level rural health center Ouled Issa.
In the same region, the first-level rural health centers (Asaki), (Talmakant), (Al-Kadia), (Olkadi) and (Barkin) were restored, the second-level urban health center of Arzan and the second-level urban health center Tafankul, the village clinic and Tuan.
The communication indicates that in the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region, a village clinic was rehabilitated in the Azilal province, explaining that the Inkert clinic was rehabilitated.
The communication concludes that these efforts are part of the Kingdom’s commitment to improving health infrastructure and ensuring the continuity of the provision of health services to citizens in areas severely affected by the earthquake, in accordance with the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
