In Shanghai, Akhannouch meets the president of the Sunrise group, leader in the textile industry

Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch met today, Saturday, in Shanghai with Billy Xu, Chairman of the Sunrise Group, a world leader in the textile industry, which has branches in many Asian countries.
This meeting, which was attended by the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of investment, management and evaluation of public policies, Mohsen Al-Jazouli, and the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports, Ali Al-Seddiqi, comes on the sidelines of Mr. Akhannouch’s visit to China, where he represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the China-Africa Cooperation Summit.
During this meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the State’s support for the implementation of a strategic investment project of the “Sunrise” group in Morocco worth 4.1 billion dirhams. This project will create 11,000 direct jobs within 3 years in several regions of the Kingdom, through the launch of industrial vehicles for projects integrating all components of the sector.
This investment will enable Sunrise Group to revitalize the national textile sector, fully integrated into global value chains, and will contribute to the government’s strategy to prioritize job creation.
