The academy executives correspond… Benmoussa remains an age condition of 30 years to access the teaching profession
The Ministry of National Education has announced the holding of entrance examinations to the qualification body of teaching staff of the regional centers for education and training professions, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, provided that the ages of the candidates for the examination are not 30 years old on the date of their holding.
The ministry of Chakib Benmoussa stressed that candidates for the competition must hold Moroccan nationality, enjoy national civil rights, meet the requirement of physical fitness to carry out the tasks assigned to them, and not be the subject of a judicial decision punishable by a sentence of deprivation of liberty, in addition to not being registered in the central disciplinary register, and not having an employment relationship with another employer.
The announcement confirmed the allocation of 1,052 places in the primary education stream, 5,774 in the preparatory secondary education stream and 1,624 in the qualifying secondary education stream.
Several trade union organisations have already asked the Minister of National Education to cancel the decision to limit the required age, set at 30 years, to pass employment exams in teaching staff, on the grounds that it violates the basic system for public education employment, which sets the legal hiring age at 45 years and deprives many qualified people of access to the teaching profession.
The Ministry of National Education had previously announced that the capping of the age of admission to employment in education is based on several studies, including a study by the Higher Council for Education and Training, adding that the quality of training is linked to the experience and professional background of the teacher, a conviction also expressed by the regional training centers.
