The body of a septuagenarian was found washed away in the waters of the “Agrabo Valley”
This Saturday evening, one of the missing persons who was on board the light vehicle swept away by the waters of the Agrabou valley, in the Ait Wafaqa community, Tiznit province, was found.
Local sources reported that the victim, a septuagenarian from Ait Wafaqa, was found stuck in a pile of reeds at the edge of the valley. Meanwhile, searches continue for the second missing person, a contractor from Taroudant province.
The accident was recorded while a light car with four people on board was crossing the Agrabo Valley, where the efforts of the authorities and citizens allowed two people to be saved, while two others disappeared.
The incident triggered an alert from local authorities, led by Irig Nthala, of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Defence, who began the process of searching and combing for missing persons. The teams were also present on the scene to observe flooding in several valleys, in anticipation of any emergency.
