Oujda.. Heavy rains cause the closure of national road n°02

The city of Oujda and its surroundings experienced, on Saturday, September 7, strong storms, because in a short time the rain flooded several vital districts of the city and even its entrances, in particular the national road n°02 going from the Beni Adrar community to the city of Oujda.

The road was blocked from Oujda Angad Airport to the entrance of the city, where it experienced traffic jams on both sides for several hours. This is due to the flow of rainwater that flooded the road and caused some cars to stop submerged in water.

This case mobilized the local authorities, represented by the governor of the region, governor of the prefecture of Oujda Angad, who mobilized all their capacities, using the mechanisms of the Regional Rescue Center affiliated to the Regional Council of the East and the members of the Royal Gendarmerie, in order to open the road to the stranded people.
