Floods cause closure of several roads in Batata, Guelmim, Taroudant and Ouarzazate

Heavy rains and strong winds were observed in several cities and regions of the Kingdom on the night of Saturday to Sunday, causing the interruption of traffic on several roads.

Several national and regional roads in the provinces of Tata, Guelmim, Taroudant, Ouarzazate and Tinghir have experienced a total interruption of traffic, due to floods and torrential rains.

The interruption of a series of important roads prevented the arrival of members of local authorities in several districts to rescue and assist their inhabitants, which prompted a number of citizens to demand the use of helicopters.
