Demands activation of the Disaster Solidarity Fund to compensate affected people
The parliamentary representative of the movement’s team in the House of Representatives, Muhammad Ozin, called on the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fattah Alavi, to activate the Solidarity Fund.
This coincided with floods in several regions of the Kingdom, which caused enormous human and material losses.
Ouzin wrote a written question to Minister Alawi in which he states that the storms and torrential floods that occurred in several areas of the Draa-Tafilalet region, the East, Béni Mellal-Khenifra and Fez-Boulmane, caused damage and heavy material losses and some deaths among citizens, in addition to the exposure of several hectares planted to damage and destroy some irrigation works, as happened recently in the Pullman region, for example.
The Harki representative believes in the need to activate Law No. 110.14 on the creation of a system for the consequences of catastrophic events, promulgated on August 25, 2016, and through it, to activate the Solidarity Fund against catastrophic events, especially for victims of these events who do not have insurance coverage.
