Ministry of Equipment uses significant capacities to reopen traffic after floods and heavy rains
The Ministry of Equipment and Water has confirmed that it is working to exploit significant capacities and means to reopen traffic after the floods and heavy rains observed in some parts of the Kingdom, according to a statement from the ministry.
The ministry explained that its services have urgently mobilized around 200 human resources and 96 earthmoving machines in the provinces and regions of Zagora, Ouarzazate, Tinerhir, Tata, Midelt, Taroudant, Guelmim, Assa Zag, Figuig and Chichaoua.
The ministry added that as of today Sunday, September 8 at 3 p.m., 22 road sections have been reopened, including 4 national roads, 7 regional roads and 11 regional roads, noting that work is continuing to open 16 road sections closed due to flooding.
The same source adds that the area of Tata, particularly affected, is the subject of great attention, as the teams and the means of intervention have been reinforced.
The communication concludes that the Ministry of Equipment and Water continues to mobilize all human resources, logistical mechanisms and equipment necessary to open traffic on the various road axes as quickly as possible.
