One year after the Al Haouz earthquake, the construction and rehabilitation of housing for 1,000 families has been completed

The date of September 8 reminded Moroccans of the tragic Al Haouz earthquake, which left dozens dead and injured, and significant material losses in the provinces of Al Haouz, Taroudant and Azilal.
A year after the tragedy that shook the hearts of Moroccans and the world, the government reviewed all the measures and efforts deployed under royal instructions, thanks to which the Kingdom was able to react quickly and effectively and withstand the repercussions of this natural disaster.
Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch said during the 11th meeting of the inter-ministerial committee in charge of the general program for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the areas affected by the Al Haouz earthquake, that the reconstruction and rehabilitation works of the housing of about 1,000 families The works have been completed, as the committee stressed the need to urge the remaining affected families to accelerate the reconstruction works and rehabilitate their houses, so that they can benefit from the remaining support payments.
Regarding emergency aid to families, the committee recorded that 63,862 families received an amount of 2,500 dirhams allocated as monthly aid to families whose houses partially or completely collapsed.
She stressed that the support has now been disbursed for 11 months out of the 12 months of this aid, for a total value of 1.6 billion dirhams.
