October 7 has been set as the date for the resumption of the trial of parliamentarian “Al-Simo”

The chamber in charge of financial crimes at the Rabat Court of Appeal decided, on Monday morning, September 9, 2024, to postpone the hearing of the trial of the leader of the Ksar El-Kebir group and parliamentary deputy for the Larache constituency, Mohamed Simo, until October 7.
Parliamentarian Simo and head of the Grand Palais group appears before the aforementioned court, along with 12 defendants, including advisers and employees, for “misappropriation and embezzlement of public funds”.
The investigating judge at the Rabat Court of Appeal, Lubna Lahlou, had decided to refer Mohamed Al-Simou, the parliamentary deputy and head of the collective council of the city of Ksar Al-Kebir, who belongs to the National Rally of Independents party, as well as 12 employees of the group, for follow-up before the Criminal Court of First Instance of the Financial Crimes Section of the same court.
