Saudi Arabia announces start of planning for next Hajj season

Saudi Arabia has announced the start of planning for Hajj 1446 AH, with the aim of preparing all means to develop services, facilitate the means to obtain them and improve the facilities that embrace this great ritual.
This came during the meeting sponsored by Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, in Jeddah.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Deputy Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, attended the “Launch of Planning Efforts for the Hajj Season 1446 AH,” organized by the “Hajj Projects” office within the framework of the “Serving the Guests of God” program (one of the “Kingdom Vision 2030” programs), with the participation of 60 entities working in the Hajj system, in the presence of a number of princes and officials from several authorities.
During the meeting, Prince Saud bin Mishal announced the start of planning for Hajj 1446 AH, improving its work according to the highest levels, developing systems and procedures, increasing the efficiency of workers in the field of Hajj and Umrah, and finding effective solutions that help to immediately overcome obstacles and avoid sightings.
He said: “We meet today with goals that we must achieve, the first of which is to consolidate the achievements of Hajj 1445 AH, after God gave this country a leadership, a government and a people to serve the pilgrims who performed the fifth pillar of Hajj Islam with ease, assurance and security. We put on the list of priorities the early preparation for this year’s Hajj and that we all feel our responsibility towards those who visit the holiest and purest places.
Prince Saud bin Mishal stressed “the need to intensify efforts and raise the level of coordination between all relevant sectors to achieve the goal we are working for, which is to provide all means to develop services, facilitate the means to obtain them and improve the quality of facilities that embrace this great ritual.
The meeting reviewed the efforts and achievements of the entities during the Hajj season 1445 AH, which included 300 plans to increase preparedness and develop operational plans. In addition, with the participation of 60 entities concerned with serving the guests of God, a number of achievements were achieved, including the launch and activation of the “Nusk” card, and the operation of experimental flights for Hajj from Taif International Airport. And the expansion of the “Mecca Road” initiative, the opening of a part of the direct Jeddah-Mecca road with a length of 51. km, the expansion of the transportation of pilgrims between Mina and the Grand Mosque and the heat-reducing paint next to the Nimra Mosque, in addition to reviewing the planning model for the Hajj season 1446 AH, which includes plans to increase operational preparedness and standards. to measure quality of service and operational performance indicators.
