According to reports, French company Airbus recently submitted a new offer to Morocco for 12 H225 Caracal helicopters, and it could be signed in the coming months during an upcoming visit by French President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco.

The French newspaper “La Tribune” reports that in 2021, Morocco began negotiations with the French company “Airbus Helicopters” to supply 8 H225M CARACAL transport helicopters. But the negotiations were frozen due to the tense relations between the two countries.

This expected agreement comes in a context where relations between Paris and Rabat are experiencing a remarkable recovery, particularly after the recent French recognition of the Moroccan Sahara, which constituted a severe blow to the alliance supporting the thesis of secession in the Moroccan Sahara.
