The Supreme Accounts Council has become involved in the issue of fraud and imbalances in the Intilaaqah program in some regions of the Kingdom, after reports emerged indicating that a large number of companies that benefited from the funding were mainly fictitious and inactive companies.

In recent weeks, the Higher Council of Accounts has received a series of complaints and reports supported by documents related to the government’s “Intilaaqah” business financing program, which aims to finance project leaders.

In this regard, the Council judges conducted a survey among the directors of regional investment centers in different regions of the Kingdom, to provide them with the mode of management of the program in their areas of influence, the number of beneficiary companies, the financing files refused, as well as the content of the complaints received from companies and project leaders.

The Council opened an investigation into these mysterious circumstances, especially after it became clear that many of these companies existed only on paper and were not active in reality. They benefited from financing, while other companies relied on falsified and fictitious invoices, which in reality. will in turn be included in the investigations.
