Last Friday, a drinking binge resulted in the death of a man in his forties in the community of Awlad Stout, following his consumption of a large quantity of medicinal alcohol.

The security services arrested two people who accompanied the deceased pending the investigation, the public prosecutor at the Nador Court of Appeal having ordered, today Tuesday, the placement of two people in Silwan prison.

The first data of the investigation revealed that the two detainees are being questioned about the origin of the medical alcohol consumed by the victim, which the medical autopsy proved had caused intestinal poisoning that cost his life.

The incident triggered a security alert in the region, with local and security authorities launching campaigns against alcohol smugglers in the area.
