With fake identities… car rental agencies are being robbed

The Federation of Car Rental Agencies in Morocco has issued a warning in the face of increasing cases of theft of cars intended for rental under false identities.

The warnings from car rental professionals follow the exposure of a number of agencies in various regions of Morocco to the presence of thieves who rent cars and provide false identities, which costs these agencies financial losses, especially during the summer.

Identical sources indicated that thieves take advantage of the lack of guarantees as was the case before and choose types of cars to steal them, and often distribute them to gangs active in the south and the north who falsify their tire numbers and direct them to sale on the black market, while stolen cars are dismantled and sold on spare parts markets spread across the cities.
