Reporter driver tries to run over leader and authority members during campaign to free public property

On Wednesday afternoon, the driver of a three-wheeled motorcycle (Triportor) attempted to knock down the commander of an administrative attaché and Aouni Salata, in the Hay Hassani district of Casablanca.

Returning to the details of the incident in which the Hassani neighborhood was the scene, and right next to the health center and the building of the health delegation of the region, a point that was the subject of a campaign by the commander of the Administrative Attaché No. 26 to free the public domain, while he was preparing to grab a large hand truck and leave for the adjoining headquarters to complete the necessary procedures, before the suspect surprised them, taking advantage of the preoccupation of the committee concerned. During the detention process, he tried to crush the officials of the authority and the commander of the attaché, as well as members of the auxiliary forces.

According to sources on site, the vigilance of the members of the said committee made it possible to avoid the worst, after the person concerned deliberately knocked them down, before continuing his “harassment”, our sources add, by abandoning his bicycle and advancing towards the members of the committee to strike a blow to the head at the level of an official with the rank of sheikh. Another, with the rank of “lieutenant-colonel” at the level of men, then tried to attack the commander in turn, but the intervention of the members of the auxiliary forces prevented him from doing so. He then fled to an unknown destination, but he was quickly arrested in coordination with the security services of the region.

The motorcycle was seized and a report was drawn up on the spot, with the suspect being prosecuted according to the charges attributed to him.

Furthermore, today’s incident has brought this phenomenon back to the forefront and the danger it poses to the safety of road users and their customers of this type of vehicle, especially since it is used to transport people outside the law.
