Yesterday, Tuesday in Beni Mellal, the opportunities for academic and cultural exchanges between students from the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region and their American counterparts were reviewed, during a visit by the Consul General of the United States of America in Casablanca, Marissa Scott.
During this visit, a group of professors and students from Sultan Moulay Slimane University in Beni Mellal were informed about the opportunities and exchange programs between Moroccan students and their American counterparts.
On this occasion, Ms. Scott gave an overview of the different programs offered by the United States Embassy, which provide the opportunity for young Moroccan students to engage in cultural exchanges with their American counterparts.
The Consul General considered that the involvement of Moroccan students in these academic exchange programs is tangible proof of the fruitful cultural partnership between the Kingdom and the United States.
On the other hand, Ms. Scott learned about the skills that the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region has, before her visit to the cooperative (Sanad), where she learned about the significant capacities of rural women working in the regional cooperative sector.
Ms. Scott indicated, in a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press, that this visit comes to celebrate the great work accomplished by the women of the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region who contribute to achieving the desired development, noting that this visit constitutes an opportunity to discover closely the different tourist and environmental qualifications, as well as the growth opportunities to which the women of the cooperatives contribute.
In turn, the head of the Sanad cooperative, Amina Magdy, affirmed that this visit represents a source of motivation for dozens of women working in agricultural cooperatives, explaining that she is one of the many women who benefited from a cultural residency as part of an American exchange program, which allowed her to take full advantage of successful experiences in this field.
