Details of the transfer of health activities and patients from the “Souissi” hospital to hospitals in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region

Professor Raouf Mohsen, director of Ibn Sina University Hospital, revealed the details of the transfer of health activities and a number of patients from the “Souissi” hospital to other hospitals in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region.

Professor Raouf Mohsen said in a statement to Heba Press that with the progress of the vast project of the new Ibn Sina University Hospital, it became necessary to evacuate and demolish part of the old buildings to ensure the safety of the site and compliance with standards on the delivery dates.

The same spokesperson added that the activities and services were distributed among several hospitals, including the Moulay Youssef hospital in Rabat, the Moulay Abdallah hospital in Salé, the Lalla Aicha hospital in Témara and the Zemouri regional hospital in Kénitra.

The health official stressed that the step was taken after a strategic study and was documented in an agreement between Ibn Sina University Hospital and many health, administrative and educational institutions in the region, noting that more than forty meetings were held with the relevant parties and union representatives to implement this transfer in a gradual and organized manner.

Professor Raouf Mohsen stressed that this measure aims to ensure high-quality care for patients and to meet the delivery date of the new Ibn Sina hospital project.
