Paytas: More than 431,000 widows receive direct support

The official government spokesman, Mustafa Paytas, confirmed that the social support project, in its entirety, is a new public policy and a new subject approved and designed by His Majesty the King and that the government has activated it, noting that it has created a kind of transformation in the society.
In his response to journalists’ questions at the symposium that followed the work of the government council held on Thursday, Paytas considered that the direct social aid project was the subject of a great debate, describing the debate as “very normal”.
In terms of figures, the government official revealed that more than 431,000 widows caring for 158,000 children benefited from this direct social support.
The same speaker added that among the beneficiaries, 260,000 widows are in rural areas, 171,000 widows live in cities, 346,000 are childless and the rest have children.
