The Public Prosecutor’s Green Number dismissed two members of the Road Control Department of the Ministry of Equipment and Transport, after blackmailing a truck driver transporting goods.
According to the newspaper’s sources, the two members arrested for “extortion and corruption” were working at the checkpoint of the Marrakech-Benjarir highway before a truck driver transporting goods decided to report them to the toll-free number, and on instructions from the public prosecutor’s office, the gendarmerie moved and arrested the two police officers red-handed in corruption. They were transferred to the gendarmerie center after informing their administration of the incident, in accordance with the legal procedures in force.
