Ait Gumra: The launch of the public consultation process concerning the Charter and the Action Plan for citizen participation

As part of its involvement in the “Tadhafer” program, the rural community of Aït Gamra, Al Hoceima province, invited citizens, women and various civic activists to submit their proposals regarding the draft charter and the action plan for citizen participation in the community.

The group announced that it would receive these proposals between September 16 and 27, 2024, via several forms, including by filing them in the register of the same group or by sending them by email to the group. The launch of this consultation is part of the involvement of the Eth Qamra community in the “Tadhafar” program, considered the second part of the citizen participation support program financed by the European Union and implemented by the Belgian development agency Enabel and in partnership with the General Directorate of Local Authorities.

It should be noted that the procedural objectives of the Charter are to institutionalize citizen participation at the community level, to build a relationship of trust between citizens, associations and elected officials, to promote and disseminate a culture of listening and dialogue in appropriate circumstances, the real commitment and responsible monitoring of public works on the part of citizens and associations, and the effective participation of all stakeholders concerned, in order to serve comprehensive territorial development.

It should be noted that the actors concerned by participation are elected officials, administrative executives, associations and advisory bodies, citizens, external interests and youth dialogue spaces. The actors concerned are also identified among the territorial actors concerned by local affairs. and direct and indirect interests.
