The creation of a new pipeline connects the gas import station in Nador to the European Maghreb oil pipeline.

A strategic memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Equipment and Water, and the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development , to launch the mapping of gas infrastructure.

The protocol will also include five public institutions and companies, namely the National Ports Agency, the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water, the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines, as well as the Nador Ouest company. Méditerranée and the National Highway Company of Morocco.

This program aims to provide the Kingdom with several liquefied natural gas import points, as well as natural gas storage and transportation infrastructure. It will also include support for pipelines connecting local gas production basins to consumers, as well as the development of a liquefied natural gas import station at the port of Nador Ouest Méditerranée and the construction of a new pipeline connecting the station to the European Maghreb pipeline.
