The CDT calls on the government to accelerate the implementation of the commitments of the agreement of April 30, 2022

The deputy general secretary of the Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT), Khalid Alami Houir called on the government to accelerate the implementation of the commitments contained in the agreement of April 30, 2022.
In a statement to the press following a meeting, Friday in Rabat, of a delegation from the trade union center with the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, as part of the new round of social dialogue, Mr. Houir said indicated that the executive is called upon to fully honor the commitments of the agreement of April 30, 2022, at their head the general increase in salaries for the public and private sectors.
It also concerns the revision of the income tax to reduce tax burdens on civil servants and employees, the creation of a new grade for civil servants, he specified, recalling that these two Recent years have been marked by a remarkable increase in the rate of inflation. As part of the implementation of the charter for the institutionalization of social dialogue, the trade union center discussed with the head of government the question of trade union freedoms, said Mr. Houir, highlighting the importance of sectoral dialogue which must be operationalized to manage social conflicts.
Furthermore, Mr. Houir noted that the bills proposed by the government must be discussed and negotiated in consultation with the various stakeholders, particularly those relating to retirement reform, strikes, and elections of members of the professional chambers to reach a consensus.
