From Paris Olympic champion to “professional killer”

South Korean shooter Kim Ye Ji, a silver medalist at the Paris Olympics, has landed her first acting role, playing the role of a professional assassin in a new work of art.

Kim Ye Ji, who gained huge internet fame during the Paris Olympics last summer, won the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol competition.

Her laid-back personality, complete with wire-rimmed shooting glasses and baseball cap, made her one of the world’s most famous faces.

Her videos have received praise from figures such as Elon Musk, the American billionaire, chairman of Tesla and owner of the “X” platform, who wrote at the time: “She should be cast in an action movie that doesn’t require acting.”

In this context, a spokesperson for Seoul-based company “Asia Lab Entertainment” announced that Kim Ye Ji will play the role of a professional assassin in the short series “Crash,” which is part of the global film project “Asia.”

The company confirmed in a separate statement that Ye Ji will star alongside influential Indian actress Anushka Sen, expressing excitement to see the potential synergy between Kim Ye Ji and Anushka Sen as a killer duo.
