The General Directorate of Meteorology indicated that very strong thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and gusts of wind, are expected from today Saturday until tomorrow Sunday in several regions of the Kingdom.
The Directorate indicated, in an alert bulletin raising the alert level to red, that very heavy rainstorms (30 to 50 mm), accompanied by hail and gusts of wind, will affect the regions of Assa-Zag, Smara, Boujdour, Oued Eddahab and Awsard, from today Saturday at 8:30 p.m. until six o’clock tomorrow morning Sunday.
The same source adds, in an alert bulletin moving to the orange alert level, that the provinces of Tata, Tinhir, Zagora, Figuig, Errachidia, Taroudant, Guelmim, Ouarzazate and Tiznit will experience very strong storms (from 15 to 30 mm) accompanied by hail and gusts of wind today, Saturday, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
