The National School of Arts and Crafts (ENSAM) of the Mohammed V University of Rabat (UM5R) is organizing a major national event to mark the official launch of the academic year and the inauguration of its new renovated premises. This ceremony will be held today, Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at ENSAM Rabat.
The event will be honored by the presence of Mr. Abdellatif Miraoui, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, who will host a conference entitled: “How to train the engineers of tomorrow? Towards the engineer 5.0”. This conference will address the challenges and opportunities related to the training of engineers in a context of rapid digital transformation.
The ceremony will highlight the commitment of the Ministry and academic institutions to meet the growing needs of emerging industries and the global digital revolution. Participants will also have the opportunity to discover the new modernized infrastructures of ENSAM Rabat, including an Industrial Expertise and Certification Center as well as a state-of-the-art Fab-Lab. These facilities aim to offer future engineers a learning environment adapted to the technological and industrial challenges of tomorrow. On this occasion, ENSAM Rabat students will present their innovative work, including the “Glove Voice” project. This project consists of the invention of a smart glove intended to facilitate communication for people with hearing and speech difficulties, as well as for those who do not master sign language. The “Glove Voice” represents an inclusive solution, allowing for better mutual understanding. This project illustrates the ingenuity and creativity of ENSAM students, demonstrating their ability to respond to contemporary technological challenges through concrete and avant-garde solutions.
This event is part of a dynamic of strengthening Moroccan higher education through visionary initiatives and infrastructures aligned with the challenges of the future. It marks an important step in the training of skills intended to contribute to the emergence of a competitive and innovative Moroccan industry on the international scene.
