Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy categorically denied reports that the Kingdom’s mediator had intervened to finance additional projects in Tangier.
The ministry said in a statement that it “categorically denies the misleading and unfounded information regarding the “Forsa” program, particularly those related to the intervention of the Kingdom’s mediator to finance additional projects in Tangier.”
The same source explains: “The government has fulfilled all its obligations at the national level.” Additional efforts have also been made that have allowed the initial objectives to be exceeded. After a specific objective of 20,000 beneficiaries, the program has managed to finance 21,200 project leaders during its two versions.
The ministry also confirmed that “the principle of regional justice was strictly respected during the distribution of funds, as all parties fully benefited from their allocated shares,” stressing that “we have not received any recommendation from the Kingdom’s Ombudsman confirming that the complainants were exposed to any kind of injustice.”
To monitor the project leaders, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including incubators and financial institutions, closely monitored the candidates. Project leaders who respected the deadlines and procedures were able to sign their contracts on the dates indicated.
Regarding training and incubation, the “Forsa” program covered all training and project support costs for participants. This training aims to qualify participants in the field of entrepreneurship, whether or not they are beneficiaries of “Forsa” funding.
At the same time, the ministry explained that 545 candidates expressed their wish to be affiliated to the “Forsa” program with the Kingdom’s broker, and that the Moroccan Society of Tourist Engineering studied each of these files individually.
The same source concludes: “Project leaders who were unable to benefit from the “Forsa” program were directed towards other financing solutions, including the “Intilaaqah” program in cooperation with banks. Agreements were signed to facilitate the orientation process and ensure that the necessary support is provided to these candidates.
