Prices of a number of consumer goods, such as vegetables, fruits and fish, began to fall immediately after the summer holidays, during which they reached record and unprecedented levels.
The example we sell is that of sardines, the price of which a few weeks ago exceeded forty dirhams per kilo in certain areas, while it varied between 20 and 30 dirhams in coastal areas known for fishing.
The price of sardines has fallen these days, according to several professionals, to between 15 and 20 dirhams, depending on each region and depending on the quality, while it began to return to its normal price, even if the quantity fished during this period has declined, but the decrease in demand has also contributed to lower prices.
