The Tamweelcom Board of Directors approves the working method for the period 2024-2030

The Board of Directors of Tamweelcom held its ninth meeting on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Rabat, chaired by Ms. Nadia Fattah, Minister of Economy and Finance. The work of this meeting was mainly devoted to the study of the activity and accounts of the institution for the first half of 2024 and to the approval of the draft budget for the 2025 financial year.

The good results obtained by the “Tamweelcom” Foundation were highlighted, since the total activity of the organization during the first half of the year 2024 recorded a growth of 5% compared to the first half of the year 2023 Thanks to its interventions directed towards the benefit of businesses and individuals, the “Tamweelcom” Foundation has enabled it to mobilize funds amounting to 21 billion dirhams, with a volume of commitments granted amounting to 11.8. billions of dirhams.

The guarantee mechanism represents Tamweelcom’s historic activity, as it maintained its central role in promoting private companies’ access to loans, as it represented 90% of its total commitments for the first half of this year. Despite the difficult context, guarantee activity for the benefit of VSEs, small and medium-sized enterprises recorded an increase of 4% compared to the first half of 2023, which enabled the mobilization of loans worth 18.7 billion of dirhams for the benefit of more than 28,550 financing operations, with a volume of commitments granted amounting to 10.6 billion dirhams.

The guarantee activity remains oriented primarily to the benefit of VSEs and VSEs, up to 90%, which confirms Tamweelcom’s commitment to supporting the financing of this priority category.

The meeting of the Board of Directors was also devoted to the study and examination of Tamweelcom’s accounts until June 30, 2024, the total activity during this period having recorded a net banking income (NBI) of 385, 5 million dirhams, and a net product (Net Profit) of 183.23 million dirhams.

After that, the Board approved the budget of the “Tamweelcom” Foundation for the 2025 financial year, and approved a new roadmap for the period 2024-2030 linked to the greening of the Foundation’s interventions for the benefit of small and medium-sized businesses. , as part of the State’s commitments to sustainable development and the financing of climate projects.
