Algerian Minister of Justice arrives in Morocco, delivers invitation to Arab league summit

Algerian Minister of Justice, Abderrachid Tebbi, landed on Tuesday in Rabat airport carrying an official invitation to Moroccan authorities to attend the upcoming Arab League summit in Algeria in November.
Tebbi flew from Algier airport and is expected to hand the invitation to Morocco’s foreign minister Nasser Bourita, sources told HIBAPRESS EN.
Morocco’s Foreign ministry previously said that “It is in this context of the Arab League summit that the Algerian Minister of Justice will be received in Morocco.”
In a speech before the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial session, Bourita said that “Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, was keen to engage in the core of joint Arab action, whether from within the main organs of the League of Arab States or through its subsidiary bodies. “.
The invitation to the summit will not affect the tense Morocco-Algeria relations and is merely a protocol by the organizer of the summit.
The summit will be the league’s first in-person summit since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Algeria broke off diplomatic relations with Morocco in August 2021.
