Players of the Iraqi Police Club recited Surah Al-Fatihah, mourning the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.
The Police Club’s official account posted a video showing the players reciting Al-Fatiha and wearing black regalia in mourning for what the club said: “The martyrdom of the master of the resistance, Hassan Nasrallah.”
Players showed signs of mourning before the start of the club’s final training session as they prepare to face Al Hilal Saudi Arabia in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
The training session took place at one of the training grounds in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Saudi accounts launched a violent attack on the Police Club, claiming that public displays of condolence and mourning contradicted the classification of Hassan Nasrallah as the leader of a terrorist organization in Saudi Arabia.
