The Head of Government chairs the second meeting of the National Commission for Digital Development

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch chaired, Wednesday April 3, 2024 in Rabat, the second meeting of the National Commission for Digital Development. During this meeting, Ms. Ghita Mezzour, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, presented an updated presentation on “the general orientations of digital development – Morocco digital 2030”, continued to the meetings organized with the members of the commission with a view to collecting their proposals and opinions in order to contribute to the enrichment of the national strategy for digital development.
This strategy intends to enable citizens to benefit from digital services on an equal footing, while ensuring that good practices are anchored and support the public administration in its digital transition. It also aims to establish the Kingdom as a country producing digital solutions, to create employment opportunities through the attraction of investments and to support young talents in the digital field.
Aziz Akhannouch affirmed during this meeting that the government is betting on strengthening the digitalization of public administration and on the development of the digital economy, in line with the High Royal Guidelines and in accordance with the commitments of the government program. He emphasized the government's commitment to implementing the digital transition project in an optimal manner, given its important role in improving the quality of public service provision and in the creation of wealth. and in economic development.
This meeting was an opportunity to recall the two fundamental axes of the “general orientations of digital development – Morocco digital 2030”:
The digitalization of public services: which aims to accelerate the pace of digitization of public services by ensuring their quality, through a methodology centered around the user, whether citizen or business.
Injecting new dynamics into the digital economy with a view to developing Moroccan digital solutions and creating value and jobs. This pillar is structured around three main axes: the development of the offshoring sector, the building of an ecosystem dedicated to developing companies and support for the digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses.
Members of the government, as well as members of the commission, representatives of the public and private sectors, representatives of professional bodies and experts took part in the work of this second meeting.
