Casablanca, April 1, 2024 – LG Electronics Maroc is proud to announce the signing of a strategic partnership with Tibu Africa, a renowned organization in the field of development through sport in Morocco. This collaboration aims to strengthen access to education, promote the empowerment of young people and improve their well-being, using technology as a lever for social innovation.

The signing ceremony took place on March 28 in Casablanca, in the presence of Mr. Taekweon Baek, Managing Director and Vice-President of the Maghreb region of LG Electronics, Mr. Mohamed Amine Zariat, Founding President of Tibu Africa, as well as the Dr Nabil Layachi, Dietitian nutritionist.

Mr. Taekweon Baek, Managing Director and Vice President of the Maghreb region of LG Electronics, said: “This partnership with Tibu Africa represents a strong commitment on the part of LG Electronics to Moroccan youth. We are convinced that education and empowerment of young people are essential to building a better future. By joining forces with Tibu Africa, we can use technology and sport as powerful tools to inspire and help the next generation of leaders.”

As part of this partnership, LG Electronics Morocco is committed to supporting Tibu Africa's initiatives in two major areas. First of all, on the technological side, LG will equip several Tibu Africa centers with its screens for use in training and other educational activities. Then, on a human level, LG will make its teams available to Tibu Africa, who will share skills and expertise and train the young beneficiaries of Tibu programs.

The first meeting between the LG teams and the young people of Tibu will be held on April 20, 2024. This inaugural meeting will mark the start of a fruitful collaboration between the two entities. It will take place during a half-day of interactive activities planned at the Second Chance School in the Ancienne Medina of Casablanca. This event will see the participation of employees of LG Electronics Morocco and children beneficiaries of Tibu Africa programs. On the program: sports sessions and technological workshops, aimed at stimulating personal development and encouraging the exchange of experiences between participants.

Tibu Africa, founded in 2011, is recognized as a national locomotive for development through sport in Morocco. To date, the organization has touched the lives of more than 250,000 beneficiaries across Morocco and five African countries, with a focus on education, empowerment and social inclusion of young people across the sport.

LG Electronics Morocco and Tibu Africa are determined to make this partnership a driver of positive change for young people, providing learning and growth opportunities that will help create a brighter future for all.
