A new increase in the prices of certain types of cigarettes in Morocco.

The Customs and Indirect Duties Administration announced, in circular no. 214/6553, changes to the sales prices of certain tobacco brands, as of April 1, 2024.

The circular, signed Friday March 29, 2024, was accompanied by a list of increases in the public sale prices of certain brands of manufactured tobacco most consumed by smokers, as well as the sale prices of new approved brands of manufactured tobacco.

According to the same list, the increase included packs of “Casa”, “Fortuna Mix”, “Fortuna Red”, “Fortuna Blue” and “Gouloise Sunrise” cigarettes.

These increases in cigarette prices are based on a decision by the Minister of the Economy and Finance dated March 28, 2024.
