Jeffrey Hinton is a pioneer in creating artificial intelligence (AI) systems and works on the neural networks that power many of today’s products.

Mr. Hinton worked part-time at Google for about ten years on AI development efforts. He became interested in this technology based on the results obtained and the possibilities it offered.

In a post on Twitter, Jeffrey Hinton, the godfather of artificial intelligence, announced that he was resigning from his position at tech giant Google, citing concerns about “the nightmare of artificial intelligence and its consequences for humanity, as well as the growing risks it entails.”

“The downsides of industry programs like ChatGPT are very scary,” he says.

Hinton adds in his tweet: “I left so I could talk about the dangers of AI without thinking about how it would affect Google,” adding that Google acted very responsibly.
